A third-person archaeological adventure where knowledge drives progression.
She went looking for her grandfather. She found a civilization that should not exist.
Explore forgotten places rooted in Indian architecture, restore their systems, and uncover a civilization erased from history.
Meera is a young environmental scientist following the last trail left by her missing archaeologist grandfather. His research draws her into places no record can explain—and evidence of a civilization whose understanding of nature was far ahead of its time.
ITIRAAH is born from Itihas and Raah—the path of a Yatra through what was left behind.
Knowledge drives progression.
Each environment explores different ideas and systems. The core approach remains the same.
Before expanding ITIRAAH into a full game, we built one complete playable sequence to test its core ideas together — exploration, observation, environmental puzzles and discovery. That sequence became the Cymatics Hall.
The Cymatics HallHere, sound is more than music. Learn how the Hall listens — and the space begins to answer.
Murals reveal how the Hall works.
Apply what you learn to its mechanisms.
Each solution transforms the space.
The Hall is the puzzle — progression comes from understanding how its clues, channels, instruments and mechanisms connect.
ITIRAAH began with a desire to imagine a fictional civilization rooted in India, but free to develop an architectural language of its own.
The Cymatics Hall grew out of that search. Monumental architecture came first; then musical stone pillars and temple acoustics opened a new direction. As other ideas — form, sound, water, light and geometry — came together, the Hall began to take shape.
Kailasa Temple · Ellora
Carved from a single rock mass, Kailasa became a reference for the larger-than-life scale we wanted ITIRAAH’s forgotten spaces to carry.
Pillar studies · Indian temple architecture
Intricate profiles, layered forms and repeating rhythms inspired an architectural language that can be read — where structure and pattern begin to suggest connection, purpose and hidden function.
Vitthala Temple · Hampi
Musical stone pillars showed us how architecture could be experienced through sound as well as sight — one of the sparks that led to the Cymatics Hall.
These places are inspirations, not reconstructions. The Cymatics Hall is an original fictional creation built from those observations and pushed into something new.

Kriti means creation. Loka means world.
We chose Kritiloka because those two words describe, very simply, what we wanted the studio to be about: creating original worlds of our own.
That is where Kritiloka began.
Founder & Game Director
10+ years in game development
LinkedIn ↗Sourav Kumar is an environment artist and game developer with more than ten years of professional experience, including work with Rockstar Games and Avalanche Studios Group.
As Founder & Game Director of Kritiloka Studios, he leads the creative and visual direction of ITIRAAH, its world design, environmental storytelling and development in Unreal Engine 5.
After more than a decade in professional game development, Sourav left full-time studio work to give ITIRAAH the time it needed.
What followed was more than a year of quiet independent development — building the playable prototype, defining its world and gradually shaping the ideas that would become Kritiloka Studios.
